Poetry excerpt:
Why can't we heed the wake up calls
of those who have gone on before?
By showing love and thoughtfulness,
by mending relationships which have been torn.
The past can not be changed
and tomorrow may never come,
which means today is all we have
to make a difference in the life of someone.
Taking some time for one another,
creatively expressing that we care
through a phone call, card or visit
can lighten the burdens that we bear.
